Recycled Silk
Recycled silk is a silk material made by collecting the short fibers remaining after raw silk is extracted from the cocoons, re-spinning them, and remaking them into thread and fabric. Although it utilizes parts that would normally be discarded, it has the same functionality as regular silk, and retains its supple texture and heat and moisture retention properties. The uneven knots and neps in the fibers give the fabric a rough appearance, and the unique texture that becomes softer the more you use it is enjoyable.
