Spun silk thread
Spun silk thread is made by collecting short fibers (silk noil) that are produced during the spinning process and remaking them on a spinning machine. The fiber length is usually less than 5cm, so the luster is suppressed, but the unevenness of the knots and neps gives the fabric a rich, three-dimensional look. Silk’s natural moisture retention and moisture absorption/release properties are maintained, and the fabric is soft to the touch and has moderate breathability.
